Description

Fluting is an old trick and it still works: parallel ridges catch light along their edges and put a shadow in every groove. This fluted wall light uses that on a small scale, so a plain wall gains texture as well as light.

Texture First, Then Light

The body is a compact fluted block, open at the top and the bottom, so the beam leaves in two directions and washes the wall above and below rather than throwing light into the room. That makes it comfortable at close quarters: beside a bed, in a hallway, at the turn of a stair. Because the fitting is only 16.5 cm tall it does not dominate a narrow wall, and a run of three down a corridor reads as rhythm rather than clutter. The ridged surface is where the character sits, and it shows most strongly when the fitting is lit and the grooves fill with shadow. Three finishes: white to disappear into plaster, gray to sit quietly against a painted wall, black for contrast.

Key Features

Fluted body whose ridges hold highlight and shadow when lit.
Open top and bottom for a soft up and down wash of the wall.
Compact at 16.5 cm tall, suits narrow walls and corridors.
Reads well in a run of two or three down a hallway.
Two G9 lamps, hard wired.
Four finishes: green, gray, orange and white.

Where to Use It

Mount it around 150 cm high beside a bed, along a hallway or at the turn of a stair. A run of three at even spacing suits a long corridor better than one central fitting.

also fast delivery :)

Superb appliques. I recommend.

Perfect 👍

Good minimalist resin lamp, easy to assemble, the wires are a bit thin.

The lamp is beautiful, arrived well-packaged, and made the room feel super cozy. The quality was surprising, it's really worth it!

Really good quality light. surprisingly heavy. nice colour (green) plus bulbs included!

Not the best made wall light not sure if it will cope with 240 volts as wires are thin in the manual which you download it states it's an led rechargeable lights but this is not this is a wall light that needs to be plummed in...

The wall lamp was very well packaged. As always, there was express shipping and even faster delivery. It is a very nice wall lamp, probably made of some kind of resin that is similar to plaster. The wall lamp has a nice shade of white. I highly recommend it.

The item arrived quickly, matches the description, and also contains 2 G9 lamps.
